“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saintsE(Ephesians 6:18)
From the very beginning JCFN’s ministry has been supported by “Prayer Warriors" those who have a burden to pray for JCFN’s ministry. Prayer Warriors are composed of JCFN members who pray for the spiritual growth of those who came to faith overseas (or seekers), who later learn to reach out to other Japanese, which is JCFN’s purpose. Also, the aim is for Prayer Warriors themselves to deepen their relationship with God and to grow spiritually as they pray especially for JCFN’s various activities, leaders, operations, conferences, etc., all of which support the returnees themselves.
Intercessory prayer is the core ministry of a Prayer Warrior. Intercessors serve by standing between God and man bringing various petitions. Intercessors can offer prayers as seen in the great models of MosesEprayer (Exodus 32:11-13), Christ’s prayer (John 17), and Paul’s prayer (Colossians 1:9-12). Things to pray for include;
1) Intercede for returnees to grow in Christ.
2) Intercede for JCFN’s ministry.
a) For JCFN’s operation (administration, finances, etc.)
b) For JCFN’s ministry (follow-up) and events (regional meetings, conferences, seminars, mission trips, etc.)c) For JCFN’s staff (staff, board members, etc.)
3) Intercede for other organizations ministering to Japanese overseas and to returnees not associated with JCFN.
a) For returnee preparation and follow-up done through various regional meetings.
b) For returnee preparation, events and conferences for Japanese ministry overseas.c) For staff and volunteers of various groups and meetings.
4) Intercede for JCFN members and others who share prayer requests (personal, ministry)
